A renovated house for a young couple and their children, located in a residential area of West Tokyo. The 2-story house was initially built more than 30 years ago, and the inside space was divided into small rooms by walls, doors, and fusuma. In this house renovation project, on the ground floor, parking, bedrooms, and a bathroom are configured compactly. A mezzanine and the 1st floor are in a single room space with different levels and heights to accommodate the children’s growth.
